Please be advised that Women's Day Choir rehearsal will begin on Tuesday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. for all those who are interested in participating.

Sis. Darlene Elliott, Sunday School Superintendent, is reminding one and all that Family Night will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012, in Providence's Lower Fellowship Hall, and will start at 6:30 p.m. Prayer Meeting and Bible Study will resume Wednesday, May 16.

On Saturday, May 12, 2012, Al Kaf Court No. 144 will present their Annual Scholarship Luncheon honoring graduating students. This event will take place from noon until 2:00 p.m. in Providence's Lower Fellowship Hall. Donation is $20.00 and you can see Sis. Fannie Lamb or Sis. Patricia Idley for more information.

The Akron Sub-District Annual Laymen's Revival will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 through Friday, May 18, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. nightly. Our own Pastor Peterson will bring the message on Wednesday, May 16, and he is asking for the cooperation of the congregation and Jubilee Choir in this effort. The host church is Second Baptist Church, located at 245 S. Grant Street in Wooster. Rev. Rickey Brown is host pastor.

The NAACP Annual Scholarship Luncheon will be held at Tangier Restaurant, located at 532 W. Market Street in Akron, on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Pastor Peterson will be the speaker for this occasion. Tickets are $40.00 each and we are attempting to purchase a table for Providence. See Bro. Henry Johnson for tickets.

The "Love and Happiness Couples Retreat" will be held August 17-19, 2012, in Amish Country. A deposit of $50 is due by April 8, 2012. There will be a gift for the first three couples to make their deposits. For further information, please contact Sis. Valerie Borders, Carmella Carter, Dionne Eslick, or Evelyn Peterson.

On Saturday, February 18, 2012, the men and youth of the church will be attending the Kent State University men's basketball game at Kent State University's M.A.C. Center. The game begins at noon and will be televised on ESPN. All men are asked to purchase at least one extra ticket in order to provide tickets for all the youth of the church to attend.
