The Akron Branch NAACP will host its 54th Annual Freedom Fund Dinner on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Tangier Restaurant, located at 532 W. Market Street. Seating will begin at 1:15 p.m. and the program will start at 2:00 p.m. Keynote speaker will be Hilary O. Shelton, Director of the Washington Bureau of the National NAACP and the Senior Vice President of the Advocacy Policy. Tickets are $60.00 each and you may see Bro. Henry Johnson regarding this matter.

The Interdenominational Church Ushers and Nurses of Akron (ICUA) will host its Annual Fellowship/Scholarship Banquet on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Second Baptist Church, located at 690 S. Main Street. The event will take place at 5:00 p.m. Donations for tickets are $25.00 each and $15.00 for children twelve years of age and under. You may see Sis. Anita Barnett for tickets.

The final rehearsal for the Leroy Edwards Men's Ensemble HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED to Saturday, October 23, at 3:00 p.m. in preparation for the 81st Annual Men's Day, which occurs on Sunday, October 24.
